What's New Now
Feb 1, 2007
Run Time: 49:50
Hosted by Jim Louderback, What's New Now focuses on the new and hottest trends in technology. This episode featured Vista (who hasn't covered it), Michael Dell is back as CEO of DELL, new Intel 45nm chips, California might ban the standard incandescent light bulb, new backlight on Mac Powerbooks, Verizon wireless, YouTube to pay contributors(?), DVD playback on the 360.
My favorite part of the episode was the argument between Patrick Norton and Roger Chang regarding the incandescent light bulb: whether it should be removed from the shelves in all California stores, or still be stocked and give the consumer a tax break for buying more energy efficient light bulbs. It starts at the 20 minute mark, and it was quite enjoyable and informative. Enjoy.
